Art and Design

At St Anne’s we believe that capturing the children’s passion for Art and Design is important as it can bring out a child’s individuality, expressiveness and imagination. It can also have a positive impact on their learning in other areas of the curriculum too. Therefore we aim to provide all children with high quality arts provision and experiences in and out of school. This subject stimulates creativity, imagination and inventiveness so we aim to give all of our pupils the skills, concepts and knowledge necessary for them to express responses to ideas and experiences. Through the children’s own exploration of art and design they are also able to develop their appreciation for the art of other people and cultures, and the confidence to express their own thoughts and feelings through their work.

The city of Liverpool are celebrating....
'50 Years of Sgt Pepper' with a 2017...
Summer of Love!
So we had to join in the celebrations too!
The children listened to music by The Beatles.
They thought about their favourite songs.
They thought about the lyrics of the songs.
From this they created their very own, unique
piece of artwork in a street art style.
Each masterpiece was displayed for all to see.
Now lots of them hang from your walls at home!
