REMOTE EDUCATION
Our Remote Education Lead is Mrs Keegan
If you have any trouble accessing Google Classrooms, please contact the school and we’ll help quickly via homelearning@stannes1.com If you are unable to access our remote education online, please contact school and we will prepare a weekly pack to be collected from the main office. If you are isolating, a pack will be posted out to you, but you must inform school of this requirement. These packs will contain the remote education that is being completed online and by those children who are in school, so that all children can access the same materials.
Your class teacher will be in contact with you via Google Classroom regarding learning and we expect children to log in and be actively engaging in daily learning and sending/uploading their work. Daily pre-recorded videos are uploaded to share feedback and content for the day, along with a weekly live class meeting for children to join.
At this difficult time, we really appreciate your continued support to the school and our community as we move forward with 2021 and the challenges we are facing.
If you have any questions, please contact the school and we will be happy to help and support.

If a child does not have access to a computer/laptop and/or the internet, the school will do all it can to support children and will provide paper packs of learning. Parents/carers will be reminded to make the school aware of any barriers to accessing rem
We want you to know that we appreciate the struggles of home education and we are so grateful for the support that you are giving your children whilst remote education is taking place. We have collated some tips and advice and placed them here for your guidance.
TIP NUMBER 1 - ROUTINE
Consistent routines are important for behaviour and wellbeing in school and our routines at home have changed significantly. Routines support behaviour and you will be finding a new rhythm with your family. You could share this checklist with your child. Talk to them to help them plan their new routines whilst using the suggested timetables that our teachers have set on our Google Classrooms.
TIP NUMBER 2 - READING
Use reading time as an opportunity to relax and open discussion with your child. Books are available to be collected from school, contact us at homelearning@stannes1.com to arrange this. Click on the attachments to see how you can support your child with their reading.
TIP NUMBER 3 - CREATE A PRODUCTIVE LEARNING SPACE AT HOME
Boost learning at home by setting up a space for your child that will help them feel focused and comfortable.
TIP 4 - REMEMBER TO STAY SAFE ONLINE.
Children are obviously spending longer online and whilst technology is proving to be incredibly useful, we also need to be mindful of the problems it can bring. Click on the links below to support you with issues such as online safety and increased screen time.
