Welcome to Year 4!

It is a new school year and it is my pleasure to welcome you to our class page.

Here, you will find out about all of the learning that takes place throughout the year.

Swimming is on Wednesday and PE is on a Thursday, please ensure your child has the correct kit.

  • Lend Me Your Literacy We have recently purchased a portfolio, which allows us to put children's fantastic writing onto a website for the world to see. It also allows people, including you, to comment on their writing. All you need to do is create a username and password for the website, please do this and comment on your child's work! Over the next few weeks I am planning to put a piece of writing up from all children, starting with Farah, Casey and David S.
  • Frozen coding Olivia and I are having fun playing on this Frozen coding activity. Instead of doing your 1 hour of homework, why don't you try 1 hour of coding instead? This Frozen activity is simplified coding. Remember not to give in straight away if you get it wrong, use your problem solving skills to get it right. Learning from our mistakes is the key!

  • BEHAVIOUR OF PARTICLES IN DIFFERENT STATES OF MATTER This clip shows the behaviour of particles in different states of matter: Watch it with your child and ask questions about the particles in different states (e.g What are the particles in a Gas, Liquid and Solid like?
