Transition

We know that many of you will now be starting to be think about your next exciting step - secondary school. Some of you may feel excited, nervous, have butterflies in your tummy, or it just makes you feel happy because you are growing up! Any of these feelings and emotions are completely normal. Below is a workbook that you can work through with your families to help you prepare for the next stage of your school career. smiley

LINK TO ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK

WB 11/5/2020

As this week was your SATS week and you all worked so incredibly hard, I thought we could have a go at these, 'Silly SATS week challenges.' 

 

We never needed test results to tell us how AMAZING you all are, so please have some fun and let me know what mark I got on the SPAG test!

 

Maths: A range of resources to allow you to revise and master all the concepts studied before school closure.

 

English: Reading extracts and activities.

SPAG activities

Independent writing tasks based on stimulus e.g. image, video clip or extract

 

Science: 2dos have been set on Purple Mash linked to our current unit, Animals including humans

 

Topic: 2dos have been set on Purple Mash linked to our prior learning on WW2, Liverpool and some activities linked to the Benin Kingdom.

 

PE: Joe Wicks on youtube every day at 9.30 am 

 

Please work through the material provided at your own pace and in a way which fits in with your daily routine. As advised in the initial closure work letter, the children can continue to revise all the content they have learned this year using the links provided on the letter.

WELL-BEING ACTIVITIES 

It is important to look after our physical and mental health during these times.

Healthy body = Healthy mind.

Therefore I have set you some challenges:

Learn to sew

Make a home-made pizza

Mindfulness colouring

Upcycle a t-shirt- I love this idea

Create a PE diary with Joe Wicks

 

I have also attached some resources to allow you to say, THANK YOU to our amazing key-workers who are keeping us safe.
