Communication

St Anne’s Catholic Primary School is happy to offer an open door policy with regards to all parents/carers concerns.

Class Teachers are available before and after school to deal with any day to day issues. Teachers are willing to make longer appointments if the concern is more serious or needs exploration. Alternatively, teachers can ring you at a time both convenient to them and you.

When Mrs Murphy, our Headteacher is in school and free, she is delighted to see any parents or take calls.

The Deputy Head, again if available, can generally see you during the day, however on occasions appointments may have to be made. Mrs Keegan is always happy to talk to you in person or over the phone.

To see either Mrs Murphy or Mrs Keegan please make an appointment through the main office.

Paula is generally available at the start and the end of the school day. Alternatively, you can telephone school to speak with her or make an appointment.

For complaints of a more serious nature, a complaint should be made in writing to the Headteacher who will investigate and give a response within ten days. Please see our complaints policy for future details.

Parent/Carers Views

Every year we send out a questionnaire which asks you to agree/disagree to a few statements. These relate to Ofsted inspection criteria and will be about teaching, learning, behaviour and safety, and leadership. There is always space for you to express your views too.

We welcome your views on the school at all times and wherever possible we will act upon these.

School Communications

Near the start of each half term, parents/carers receive a learning journey from their child’s class teacher. These newsletters include class specific information, curriculum plans and how you can help your child at home with their learning.

Weekly newsletters are now available from our school office (paper copy) and via our school website, this will update parents/carers on school activities for the forthcoming week.

This is in addition to occasional letters which are sent home whenever there is important news.

Our latest news can also be found on our Twitter feed @stannesliv. We also use Teachers2parents text messaging service to communicate with our parents/carers. Please ensure we have your most up-to-date contact numbers.
